Common questions
FAQ
- Are these real patents?
- Yes. Every sheet is the original drawing as filed at the United States Patent Office, sourced from official archives, cleaned and printed. Nothing is redrawn or invented.
- Is this legal to sell and to hang?
- Completely. U.S. patent documents are public domain by law — the text and drawings carry no copyright, regardless of age. What you hang is the original engineering document.
- What is the difference between the two finishes?
- Archive paper keeps the aged scan exactly as filed — stamps, examiner's pencil and all — printed on warm matte paper. Blueprint inverts the line work into white on cyanotype navy.
- What paper do you print on?
- 200 g/m² matte, museum-grade paper. Colors are calibrated for each finish, and every print is checked before shipping.
- How long does shipping take?
- Sheets are printed on demand in Europe and dispatched within 2–4 working days. EU shipping is included in the price. You receive tracking by email the moment it ships.
- How is it packaged?
- 21 × 30 and 30 × 40 sheets ship flat in rigid board envelopes; 50 × 70 sheets ship rolled in a heavy tube.
- What if it arrives damaged?
- Send a photo within 7 days of delivery and we reprint and reship it free of charge. No forms, no arguing.
- Can I return it?
- Yes — 14 days from delivery, as EU law requires. Return it unused in its original packaging and we refund you.
- Do frames come included?
- Not yet. Sheets are standard sizes (21×30, 30×40, 50×70 cm), so any off-the-shelf frame fits. Framed options are on the roadmap.
- Can you print a specific patent for me?
- That is exactly what our archive pipeline does. Write to us with the patent number and we will tell you if it makes the cut.
